Hey all, so I'm on the Placement Committee which is a mixture of faculty, administrators and students and we're mostly dealing with Amelioration (school-run efforts to make up for the fact they allow military recruiters on campus despite the non-discrimination policy) efforts. Right now we're planning to have a panel to discuss this topic during the PILC Public Interest Career Fair on February 8th since NAVY JAG will be tabling during the event and perhaps a panel later in the year when NAVY, Air Force, and ARMY JAG make their rounds. One last thing in the works is creating a one-year fellowship with Lambda Legal for graduating NYU students. This would represent a great step forward in the school not only assisting us protest, but actually working to deconstruct barriers for the LGBT community. But as I said, it's just in the initial stages as is no means certain (especially since we have yet to find funding!)
